Land of Nod Holiday Lovin'

The Land of Nod is that type of store, you know, the one that makes parents salivate. Seriously. When they contacted me to ask if I might want to host a giveaway here and review one of their toys, the drool began. I won't lie, the day the package arrived, I wore a bib. I asked to be forewarned when it arrived, just to be sure I had ample towels washed and ready to go to mop up the saliva-fest. Yes, their store is just that awesome. Go look! My son proudly owns the Nothing Up My Sleeve Magic Set and thinks it's the coolest thing ever (so do his parents). Ahem.

They sent me the Little Leonardo Tabletop Easel for my toddler to review. As if the name wasn't cool enough, we soon found out it is the awesomest easel we've ever owned. Why, you ask? Firstly, it's magnetic on the wipe-off side, and comes with an industrial strength magnet to hold her papers in place to color. How sweet is that? As you can see in the picture, you can use magnetic alphabet letters on it, too.

It holds four paint cups on that side, too. The paint cups they offer are the ones that kids can use and not spill. See in the picture? Wicked smart.

My toddler looooooooves it. I have to admit, I do, too. It's really stable. We've owned a few easels and magnetic boards, and I love that this is an all-in-one, kind-of thing.


You can see the chalkboard side has yet to be christened by my daughter. But it's game on come Christmas-time, she's getting a box of chalk. And a smock. And a drop cloth. And mommy is getting a clean-up crew. (Wishful thinking)


See how handy that magnet-y thing is in holding up her paper? We're currently using the cups for pencils, but I'm buying her the brushes and paints for Christmas, shhh!
