Curly Girl

As women, we have to primp and prep and fuss to get our hair just so and eye lashes to stand upright, cheeks to look rosy, eyebrows to not look ape-ish. But children? They're naturally beautiful - their lashes so long and perfect, their hair requires little preparation to have the perfect bounce, no horrific bags under their eyes that require a shellacking of concealer, either.

My children's curly hair kills me. My son's hair you're all already aware of. My daughter, however, is coming into her own, now.

She's giving my son a run for his money in the curls department.


Do you know how much I'd have to do to my hair to get it to look even somewhat like this?


She has this Shirley Temple, Veronica lake thing happening. I love it. Loooooove it.


I hope it's always this effortless for her. In the meantime, I'll just sit and stare and fall more and more in love with her everyday. Forever.
