Elementary, My Dear Volunteer

The volunteer task for the elementary school seemed simple enough - break down twenty-three workbooks and sort them.

school workbooks
Rip. Each. Page. Out. Of. 23. Books.

Then I needed to stagger their pages, and sort by page AND story.

Once separated and sorted, I placed them, story-by-story, into this file here, along with the empty workbooks.

Two-and-a-half hours it took me.

Definitely not the most efficient way this could've been done, nor the most cost-effective. I mean, why on earth didn't they realize how much simpler (and cheaper) it would've been to take one workbook and copy it on the copier twenty-three times?

Needless to say, most of my morning was spent doing this ridiculous job with a cranky baby in tow, suffering with a diaper rash. Not exactly fun by any means.

Next time for crying out loud, at least let me play with the die cut machine, or staple things on a bulletin board, or something fun!
